Beautiful home solution for disk storageAug 17, 2010
My home office was filling up with CD cases until I bought one of these babies. There's not too much to say - it looks nice, like an antique journal, with a weathered metal noteholder on the spine to hold a label. I put my data cds in the pockets, and now instead of a shelf full of disorganized jewel cases and cd-envelopes, I have one classy looking book sitting on my shelf. When I get another burst of organizing fever, I expect to buy a few more and drop my music cds and dvds into these as well.
The only drawbacks I can see are covered in the other reviews. Unlike a zippered case, the cds could fall out if you turned this case upside down, so it's not a great solution for travel. Also, I didn't save any of the inserts from my jewel cases, but it sounds like people have had to trim some of the biggest ones to fit in the pockets.
Lastly, I guess it's obvious, but if you throw away all of your jewel cases, you're probably lowering the resale value of your disks, but (1) software goes obsolete so fast that I'm not worried about it for my data disks and (2) how many of your cds or dvds have you sold in the last year? For me, none, but if you sell back a lot, then this is probably not the solution for you. Alternately, you could put your disks in these and save the jewel cases in a storage box, and have the best of all worlds.

Little humour there. The Blu-Ray disks are the same size as CDs and other DVDs. The storage is terrific for these products. I like it.

 Sleeves not big enough for inlay cards!May 20, 2010
Yet another stupid product that does not have sleeves big enough for inlay cards! You will have to cut up or fold the back of your CD inlay card in half which makes it bulky etc. This may be fine for home made CDs etc. but I was hoping to save space in my house by keeping the cards and getting rid of the plastic boxes. Why is it impossible to buy sleeves that fit!
The cover itself is nice.
