It is a great idea, but looks rather bulky on the shelf. Would rather have the DVD's in there cases

We now have several of these, to save DVD movies, photo records, and computer back-up files. They are convenient, and make it easy to find what you want quickly.

I have the other Discgear, the automatic one...this one was much cheaper as it is not automatic...I still love it, it's perfect for the storage of a smaller collection! Easy to find any CD as long as they're on the list provided...I'd suggest numbering them just in case you DO put one in the wrong place. I'd recommend this to anyone who has a lot of CD's to store...sure saves room!

I purchased this product as my wife had given my ultimatum, Get a new storage system or throw out some of my DVDs. This unit is the perfect solution.
The latch system used to pick up the DVD has not failed once and the website available to catalog your DVD/CD's/Etc is great. The website will save each unit and the entered information so if you need to make changes it is very easy to do. I print the grids on regular paper and slide them into the labeling shelf.
I completely filled my first two units and ordered another 2. They are hard to find in stock. I ordered the Silver for the first set and the silver look nice on my shelving unit. It doesn't look out of place and really cleans up the look of the DVD shelves. I ordered the white ones for my second order (today) because they are hard to find in stock.
Again, I love this system
