Fantastic!Jan 25, 2010 I've used this stuff on multiple cell phones and have been extremely pleased. No, they won't allow you to stick your phone to a vertical wall, but they DO stop it from sliding around the passenger seat when you take a sharp turn. Just makes it more secure in general AND prevents scratches. Love it! Best of all, the price has come down over the years.

Handier than you might thinkJun 01, 2009 Unlike a more common, large 'grip pad' that you might put on the dash of your car, this pack comes with several small cutout pads of various sizes. You peel them off the backing and affix them to your phone, iPod, etc (anything w/ a smooth plastic, glass or metal backing). You can then put your device anywhere that also has a smooth surface and it won't budge. Be mindful that there is no adhesive on the pads, so you have to start w/ a clean, smooth surface in order for the pads to stick. They wash off easily w/ soap and water and become super-sticky once again. My phone originally had a matte black finish that would not stick to the pad at all, but after getting a plastic case for the phone it sticks like glue. Seems to be a good value for the pack since you only need one pad for each device.

Great idea, but not quite perfect...Dec 21, 2008 I purchased these Gadget Grips hoping it was some super-sticky material I could use to mount to iPod nano to a spot on my dashboard and keep it from moving around. I've seen pads advertised that will keep things from falling off, even when they are vertical. Well, the gadget grips are not quite that sticky. The main purpose of these grips is to create a little friction to keep things from sliding around.
For that purpose, it works pretty well. I used to sit my iPod nano (4G) near my gear shifter. Every time I rounded a corner, the iPod would slide off and the "shake to shuffle" feature would kick in. Very annoying! A gadget grip solved this problem.
The pack comes in a variety of sizes - most rectangular, a few circles and also some thin, long strips. I also used the grips for my Samsung Instinct cell phone. The gripping material is very thin and unobtrusive. It doesn't increase the thickness of your device more than a millimeter or so - meaning that things still fit in their cases as they are supposed to. If the "sticky" feature wears off, you can wash and dry it and it will come back to life.
This is a pretty neat product, but I think its use might be kind of specialized. It has a good price point, so if you think it might have a function for all or some of your gadgets, it's worth checking them out.
