5Great MateDec 17, 2007
By Liz T "Liz"
If you have ever had your cell phone under your seat ringing, then you need this. I was given a sample at a conference and was hooked. This simple mat is one of the best things for drivers and cell phones and more. Just place it on the flat part of your dash, put you phone on it and you can turn all the corners you want the phone stays put. It is also great for coins for toll roads. Just lay out you coins and you are ready. I bought one for each of my employees.

5Delivers what is promisedAug 01, 2008

This is my second pad and it works just as it says: my cell phone or my ipod are kept in place, even though I have a pretty aggressive driving style. And in case adhesion diminishes, just wiping it with a damp cloth leaves it again as new. I fully recommend this pad.

1Almost.....Almost......Feb 01, 2011

Almost good. Almost works.

There are really three parts to this very thin slab of....material. The top, the bottom and its ability to stick cleanly to the car dash.

First: the Top
Works as advertised. stuff doesn't move around unless you really rock the boat and then it will go flying.

Next: The Bottom
The bottom of the slab is very able to hold to surfaces well.

Finally: The use
Well....here is where the failure occurs. The edges of the slab curled up. I couldn't get them to stick. The pad itself stayed in place but looked terrible with the edges curled.
1/2" to 3/4" border - all the way around couldn't be made to stick - no matter how I tried.

I cleaned the dash, let it dry and peeled the backing off as instructed and then placed in in a particular location but the edges curled. Oh well.....

It might work for you but it did not for me.

5This product works wellDec 12, 2012
By J. Hansen
I read some misleading reviews. To clarify a few things:

In the directions they recommend you move the pad from time to time so the UV rays from the sun will fade your dash uniformly. The product doesn't fade the dash. They also say to only use the product with vinyl dashboards (most dashboards are). Complaining about paint fading is ridiculous - read the directions...

I haven't seen the corners come up at all. I wonder if the reviewer that had issues with this didn't clean the dash first or handled the underside of the pad around the corners and maybe the oil from their fingers affected the pad's adhesion to the dash. It's also possible that they placed the pad upside down. The paper peels off the back, not the front.

I'd recommend using it like a screen protector - clean the dash first, and remove the backing carefully, then place the pad without touching the backside.

Anyways, it works perfectly. I took some sharp corners and hit some bumps (nothing too major - I like my car) trying to get my phone to slide around. It didn't budge.

Update - I've been using the thing for a couple of months now without incident. It works as intended. I'd like to add that the mat molds itself well to my uneven dash.

5Handsstands Sticky Pads are the bomb! (Great!)Feb 21, 2007
By Thomas M. Barrick Jr. "multi-tasker"
I picked up one of these at a local Target and was so pleased I purchased two more, online, for my wife's dashboard, which has a "shelf" for holding more stuff than my curved dash which currently only holds my cell phone. She needs lots of help organizing and maintain her "stuff" and this will be very useful in that capacity.
