1I hate this mouse padMay 19, 2011
By Alexander
I bought this mouse pad from Fry's - sorry Amazon. But I hate it so much I want to share my pain so other can avoid this junk.

Why do I hate this? Because it is not flat. It curls up at the edges and then my mouse gets caught on those elevated edges. It was this way when it came out of the package and seems to have gotten worse over time.

So why did I chose this mouse pad in the first place? Because it has a hard surface which works well with my 3M ergo mouse. The soft surface mouse pads are difficult to use with the 3M mouse for some reason.

If I could find another hard surface mouse pad (that was all black preferably) that was thicker and therefore did not curl up I would be happy. But such a thing does not exist as far as I can tell.

2Great in theory.Mar 04, 2010

Nice size, great tracking for optical mouse. Sticky on the backside wears off in weeks and pad begins to make a lot of noise.

3Needs anchoringMay 24, 2012
By Marci Gilmore
Very thin, so that's the good news. A royal shade. But the problem is I have a wood top desk so the mouse pad - which is a like plastic - slides. You'd have to have something anchoring it in order to keep it in position.

3New design?Dec 15, 2010
By AK LEE
I believe they changed the design of the Ultra Thin Mousepad. I was using a white version of this mousepad, which is really thin with a rough surface and a silvery sticky back. I ordered this because I want the color black, but the mousepad that I got is totally different except it has the same size and pattern. The surface is now totally smooth and the thickness is at least doubled because the material they used is different, it now has a non-slip black rubber back.

I think they changed the material/thickness of this mousepad so it would solve the "mousepad curling up" and the "non-sticking" issues from the old design. The only reason I ordered this mousepad is because I really like the old rough surface, so I am pretty disappointed with the new smooth surface. I hope they will make one with the old rough surface with the new non-slip back.

5Great mousepad!Mar 24, 2010
By Vinci "Nijo"
I have to say, for a $9.00 mousepad, this one is great! I use to have a typical foam mouse pad but hated the way it would slide around, the thickness of it was like having a book on my desk. This pad is so thin that I don't even notice it is there.

I haven't had it for too long, but so far it is great. The way it sticks in place on my wood desk is amazing!
